Honey garlic chicken bites are a grown-up irresistible dinner everyone will love. Crispy oven baked white meat chicken breast nuggets served with a sweet and tangy sauce!

These baked honey garlic chicken breast nuggets are full of tender white meat chicken served with a bold tangy sauce made from raw honey.  A truly family-friendly meal both kids and adults will devour.

This recipe was my hubby’s idea (thanks Brett!) and was unbelievably, mouth-wateringly good. We served these with Crispy Oven Baked Fries and my sour cream coleslaw recipe for a fantastic and filling meal.

The chicken was super tender, perfect dipped in the sauce, and made completely on one sheet pan.  We made about 2lbs of chicken, and while there were leftovers… there weren’t many.  We took these babies down.

What’s In These Honey Garlic Chicken Nuggets?

  • Chicken: I used chicken breasts, cut into cube ‘nuggets.’ You can use a different cut of chicken meat if you prefer, or a different protein all together.
  • All Purpose Flour
  • Smoked Paprika: give an additional depth of flavor to the breading.
  • Garlic Powder: Also a major pantry staple ingredient that get used in our house daily! I love this garlic powder and add it to a lot of recipes that I use fresh garlic in too.
  • Onion Powder: adds a delicious and savory flavor to this dish as well, and the onion powder pairs nicely with the garlic flavor in the salad.
  • cayenne, and
  • Italian Seasoning Blend: usually has thyme, basil, rosemary, parsley, etc.
  • Eggs: to hold the breading to the chicken.
  • Raw Honey:  organic honey is so delicious paired with this chicken.
  • Garlic
  • Worcestershire sauce: gives the sauce a bright and tangy flavor.

How To Make This Recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.  Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper, and add 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil to the pan, tilt pan to coat the parchment paper evenly with the oil.  Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and salt.
  3. In another medium bowl, crack the eggs and scramble well to combine.
  4. To bread the chicken, dip in the flour mixture, then egg, then flour again.  Place the dredged chicken bites on the sheet pan in a single layer.  Repeat for all pieces of chicken.
  5. Place the chicken in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, flip, and bake for another 5-10.  Chicken should be cooked through and golden brown on the outside.
  6. While the chicken is baking, add the honey, chopped garlic, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl. Set aside.
  7. Remove finished chicken from the oven. Toss the baked chicken with the honey garlic sauce. Serve, and enjoy!
