Ingredients You’ll Need

ingredients for copycat costco dip with cream cheese, lemon, hot peppers, sour cream, and sweetened cranberry jelly sauce

Cream cheese – makes the creamy and delicious dip.

Fresh jalapeño peppers – give a wonderful fresh tasty and spicy bite! I found that one jalapeno pepper, finely diced was perfect for this recipe, but you could add more or less depending on your spice preferences.

Sour Cream – adds more creamy texture to this delicious creamy cranberry jalapeño dip

Cranberry sauce – I used classic canned cranberry sauce (think Thanksgiving!) but you could always make a homemade version with fresh cranberries.

Parmesan cheese or asiago cheese

Lemon – freshly squeezed lemon juice adds a pop of flavor to the dip.

Green Onions – I found that adding a bit of fresh green onion (or scallions) gave this perfect dip a wonderful texture and crunch.

Additions and Substitutions

Make your own cranberry sauce instead of using canned – you can simmer fresh cranberries with orange juice and sugar to make a delicious sauce.

Use fresh lime juice if you have some on hand, instead of lemon.

Add a bit of orange zest or a tablespoon or two of orange juice for added sweetness!

Recipe FAQs

What’s in Costco cranberry jalapeno dip?

The classic dip is made with cream cheese, sour cream, asiago cheese, onions, sweetened cranberries, and spices. Our copycat recipe is delicious and simple to make at home!

How to store leftover cranberry jalapeno dip?

Store any leftover dip in an airtight container, and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Remove from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before serving, so the cream cheese softens.

Can you freeze cranberry jalapeno dip?

This recipe is best fresh, so I would advise against freezing the dip as the texture of the cream cheese and sour cream can change once frozen.

Recipe Notes

I mixed this dip by hand, but you could use a food processor instead for a creamier texture.
The recipe calls for asiago cheese, but I wasn’t able to find any at my store and freshly grated parmesan made a good substitute.
The original recipe calls for citric acid, which I substituted lemon juice for.
