This easy no-cook sauce is garlicky, tasty, and so versatile – it goes great with almost any protein! I love serving this with crispy honey garlic chicken bites, bang bang salmon, and is great drizzled over rice bowls.
We absolutely love bang bang sauce, it’s the perfect sauce we love serving with stir fries, rice, protein, and veggies. It’s a great sauce for meats and tofu, and makes a tasty dipping sauce too!
It’s creamy from the mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt, if you’d like to substitute), spicy from the sriracha hot sauce, and sweet from the honey. It’s similar to yum yum sauce you would get at hibachi restaurants, but with a spicy kick! Mix it all together, and enjoy this easy homemade sauce made with simple ingredients.
I love the creamy texture for dipping salmon bites or crispy chicken tenders in this bangbang sauce. It’s the easiest recipe and tastes absolutely divine!

Modern Sauce & Dip Recipes You’ll Love
This bang bang sauce is a great delicious sauce, the perfect blend of many tasty ingredients! You can buy pre-made sauces at the store, but I always find that the homemade version tastes much better. And you change the spice level, by adding more or less spicy sriracha sauce as desired.

Ingredients You’ll Need
Be sure to visit the recipe card below for full ingredient amounts and recipe instructions!
- Classic Mayonnaise: I like to use this classic mayo for a delicious and creamy sauce. If you don’t normally like mayo, you can use plain Greek yogurt or a dairy-free ‘mayo’ instead!
- Garlic
- Lime Juice, fresh
- Rice vinegar: I love this sweet & tangy rice vinegar, I always keep this vinegar stocked in my pantry for dressings and salads.
- Honey – a little honey goes a long way! You can also substitute agave nectar or maple syrup too.
- Smoked Paprika:Â give an additional depth of flavor to this dish.
- Sriracha – for a little heat!  It’s great on soups, curries, and noodle salads. If you can’t find sriracha, your favorite hot sauce will do or a bit of cayenne pepper.
- Tellicherry Black Pepper:Â It’s amazing the flavor difference you can get with really good black peppercorns in this tasty sauce.Â
How To Make Bang Bang Sauce
- In a mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise, minced garlic, fresh lime juice, rice vinegar, honey, paprika, sriracha, and black pepper.
- Mix well to combine, so there are no lumps and you have a smooth pink sauce. Top with extra paprika or black pepper as a garnish, if desired.
- Use as a dip, or toss the sauce with your favorite cooked protein.
- Store leftover sauce in an airtight container, and refrigerate and enjoy within 4 days.
A No Cook Sauce Recipe
This no-cook bang sauce recipe is a total crowd-pleaser dip. I love a good no-cook recipe for those days when I don’t want to cook, or for summer nights when it’s too hot to use the stove. I have a whole collection of trendy no-cook recipes you can browse.
This sauce comes together in about 5 minutes, and doesn’t require the stove or microwave to make. Just use a few pantry staple ingredients and you have a simple sauce ready in no time. And very little to clean up afterwards (only one small bowl)… an added bonus!
