Ingredients

For the Burger Patties
  • 2 lb whole brisket
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon BBQ rub
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
For the Brisket Burgers
  • 8 buns
  • Toppings of choice lettuce, onion, tomato, ketchup, mustard, etc.

Equipment

  • Meat grinder
  • Large Bowl
  • Grill

Method

  1. Cut the fat off the brisket meat. Get as much fat trimmed of as possible. Then cut the meat into slices that will fit through your meat grinder.
  2. Feed the brisket slices through the meat grinder, until they are all ground.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients to the ground brisket: breadcrumbs, eggs, BBQ rub, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  4. With two spoons (or your hands) mix well to combine all ingredients together until well-mixed.
  5. Form the ground brisket mixture into balls (to be smashed down) or patties.
  6. Grill the brisket burger patties on a cast iron pan, or on the grill until they are cooked thoroughly. Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
