This easy blender peanut sauce recipe is a fantastic 5-minute sauce loaded with flavor! Made with peanut butter, garlic, vinegar, and spices, this tasty peanut sauce is creamy, delicious, and perfect as a dip, dressing, or marinade!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 limes juiced
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey see substitutions below
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1-3 tablespoons water to thin
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat

Method

  1. To a blender, add the peanut butter, rice vinegar, honey, soy sauce, garlic cloves, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  2. Drizzle in the olive oil, and squeeze in the fresh lime juice.
  3. Start blending on low, and work your way up to high speed, blend for 2-3 minutes until you get a creamy consistency. If you sauce is too thick or the blender seizes, add water, 1 tablespoon at at time until the sauce reaches your desired consistency. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Additions and Substitutions
You could always substitute a different oil if you don't have olive oil on hand. Try another neutral oil like vegetable oil, canola oil, or sunflower seed oil.
You can substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar - both of those options are plant-based if you wanted a vegan version. A liquid sweetener works best as it adds moisture to the sauce. You could also use brown sugar, just include a tablespoon or two of water at the same time.
Instead of cayenne pepper, you could also add 1-2 teaspoons of sriracha for added spice and flavor.
