Growing up in the Midwest, we loved going to Jet’s Pizza, which has the best ranch dressing ever! It’s so good, I made this copycat recipe so we could enjoy it at home.  Jet’s has Detroit-style pizza, and ranch dressing is a must with it! This drippy ranch is perfect to enjoy as a side dish dipping sauce for your pizza or buffalo wings – it’s a versatile dip or dressing you can enjoy any time.

With just 3 simple ingredients, this pizza-dipping ranch is ready in minutes and tastes better than any bottled dressing out there. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, or use your blender or food processor. Either way, you’ll get a delicious and easy ranch dressing that rivals the restaurant! Just a note: this isn’t Jet’s official recipe, it’s my adaptation – for the real deal, enjoy some at your local Jet’s Pizza.

Ingredients You’ll Need

The base of this dressing is mayonnaise. If you’re adventurous you can make try making your own mayo with egg yolks and white vinegar, but I’d recommend using a store-bought for a quick and easy option.

Stir in some buttermilk, which is the key ingredient to tangy and creamy copycat Jet’s ranch dressing.

​Ranch seasoning mix – I used a store-bought spice packet which had herbs and spices for the perfect ranch flavor.

​Fresh black pepper for a kick and a bit of spice.

Instead of using all mayo, you can try this dressing with 1/2 mayo and 1/2 sour cream, or plain Greek yogurt.

Step 1: In a mixing bowl (or in a blender), whip the mayonnaise using a whisk or hand mixer until airy and slightly fluffy.

Step 2: Slowly pour in the buttermilk, and whisk until it’s fully incorporated into the mayonnaise.

Step 3: Stir in the ranch seasoning and black pepper, and mix well.

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk *See note below
  • 1 tablespoon ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • In a mixing bowl (or in a blender), whip the mayonnaise using a whisk or hand mixer until airy and slightly fluffy.

Notes

*For a thinner ranch dip, add 1 additional tablespoon of buttermilk at a time until the dressing reaches your desired consistency. I started with 3/4 cup of buttermilk, but you use up to 1 cup.
